GO FISH!
Our History

Established in 1952 by Bert and Helen Richardson, Elkhorn Lakes is one of the oldest Indiana pay lakes still owned and operated by the same family and remains a favorite for fishing enthusiasts. Nestled in a valley along the east fork of the Whitewater River, Elkhorn Lakes is in the most picturesque area of Wayne County. Generations of anglers have enjoyed the serenity and family friendly environment that is minutes away from Richmond, IN.
Lakes are continuously supplied with clean, fresh, spring water and well water. Most fishing spots are conveniently accessible by car and softly lighted with solar lights for weekend overnight fishing. Stocked with carp and buffalo fish for the big fish contests, Elkhorn Lakes offers a variety of fish including bass, blue gill, crappie, flathead and blue catfish, plus an occasional goldfish or turtle for a fun catch and release fishing experience.
